Vaisakhi, also known as Baisakhi, is a harvest festival celebrated in the Punjab region and an important Sikh observance. It marks the formation of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699 and is celebrated with prayers, processions, music, dance, community meals and gratitude for the harvest season.
