Songkran (Thai New Year)

Songkran, or Thai New Year, is celebrated in Thailand with water blessings, family visits, temple activities and community festivities. While it is widely known for joyful water celebrations, Songkran also carries meanings of cleansing, renewal, respect for elders and welcoming the new year with good wishes.
