International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict raises awareness of conflict-related sexual violence and honours survivors. The day calls for prevention, justice, protection and survivor-centred support in communities affected by war and displacement. It also recognises the importance of dignity, accountability and long-term recovery for people impacted by these crimes.
