Saint Andrew is the disciple in the New Testament <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Testament> who introduced his brother, the Apostle Peter <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Peter> , to Jesus <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus> , the Messiah <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messiah> . The day is celebrated with food, dance, flag flying and music.
