30 November

Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare

Observed by the UN, this day pays tribute to the victims of chemical warfare, as well as to reaffirm the commitment to the elimination of the threat of chemical weapons. In 1939, the Chemical Weapons Convention was adopted which completely excludes the use of chemical weapons for the sake of mankind. This day aims to promote peace, security, and multilateralism.

Event suggestions:
• Creating tribute walls with names, symbols, and memories
• Listening to testimony circles centred on dignity and collective memory
• Honouring sacrifice through guided reflection and remembrance rituals
