Day of the Dead begins (Mexico)

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican tradition observed mainly on November 1 and 2. Families honour loved ones who have died by creating ofrendas with photos, candles, marigolds, favourite foods, and personal mementos. The observance blends remembrance, family connection, and cultural celebration, and is now recognised in communities around the world.

Event Suggestions:
• Creating paper marigolds or altar-inspired displays with cultural context
• Sharing stories about remembrance, family, and Mexican cultural traditions
• Exploring music, food, and symbols connected to Día de los Muertos
