Beltane (Northern Hemisphere)

Also called May Day, Beltane is the Gaelic festival marking the beginning of summer in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. Historically, it symbolises purification and sits midway between the spring equinox and summer solstice, with traditions linked to fire, protection, fertility and seasonal change.
