St. Olav’s Day

St. Olav’s Day, also known as Olsok, commemorates King Olav II of Norway, who became an important saint and national figure after his death in 1030. The day is connected with Norwegian history, Christian tradition and cultural heritage. It may be observed through church services, pilgrimages, music, food and community celebrations.
