Orthodox Pentecost

Also called the Feast of Pentecost, Trinity Day or Descent of the Holy Spirit, Orthodox Pentecost is observed 50 days after Orthodox Easter. It celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, as described in the Acts of the Apostles, and marks the revelation of the Holy Trinity. In many Orthodox communities, the day is marked with church services, prayers and traditions connected to renewal and faith.
