National Close the Gap Day (Australia)

National Close the Gap Day raises awareness of the health and life expectancy gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. The day encourages people across Australia to learn, listen and take meaningful action toward health equity, justice and stronger outcomes led by First Nations communities.

Event Suggestions:
• Learn from First Nations-led resources about health equity and self-determination
• Host a respectful discussion on practical actions that support closing the gap
• Create an awareness display highlighting community-led health and wellbeing initiatives
