Martyrs’ Day (Tunisia)

Martyrs’ Day in Tunisia honours those who gave their lives in the struggle for freedom and independence, especially protesters killed in Tunis in 1938 during demonstrations against French colonial rule. The day invites remembrance of sacrifice, civic courage and Tunisia’s journey toward independence.
