Laylat al-Mi’raj

Laylat al-Mi‘raj, also known as the Prophet’s Ascension, commemorates the Islamic tradition of Prophet Muhammad’s night journey and ascension. The observance is remembered by many Muslims through prayer, storytelling, reflection, and learning about faith and spiritual devotion. Customs vary across communities, with some attending mosque gatherings and others observing privately at home.

Event Suggestions:
• Learn about the story of Isra and Mi‘raj through respectful Islamic educational resources
• Discuss prayer, reflection, and spiritual journeys in Muslim communities
• Create a display about Islamic calendar observances and community traditions
