Kashmir Solidarity Day (Pakistan, New York)

Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed in Pakistan as a day of support for Kashmiri people and reflection on the ongoing Kashmir dispute. The day is connected to the complex history of the 1947 Partition of British India and the continuing political, cultural, and human impact of the conflict. It is also recognised by some Kashmiri diaspora communities as a moment for cultural identity, remembrance, and advocacy.

Event Suggestions:
• Explore Kashmir’s culture, geography, languages, and diaspora communities with care
• Discuss how partition, borders, and conflict affect people and communities
• Create a respectful reflection activity on peace, human dignity, and cultural identity
