International Workers’ Day, also known as May Day or Labour Day, honours workers’ rights, labour movements and the historic struggles for fair wages and safer working conditions. Observed in many countries on 1 May, the day recognises the contribution of workers and continuing efforts toward dignity, fairness and justice at work.
