International Widows’ Day

International Widows’ Day raises awareness of the challenges faced by widows around the world, including poverty, social isolation, discrimination and lack of legal protection. Established by the United Nations, the day calls for stronger support, rights and recognition for widows and their families. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge resilience, dignity and community care.
