07 September
The International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies is observed on 7 September and was established by the United Nations in 2019. The day raises awareness of the importance of clean air for human health, ecosystems and climate action. It encourages communities, governments and organisations to reduce air pollution and support healthier, more sustainable environments.
Event Suggestions:
• Creating a display about clean air, health and environmental care
• Hosting a discussion on transport, energy and everyday actions that reduce air pollution
• Planning a community activity such as tree planting, clean-up or clean-air awareness messaging
