25 December
Hanukkah, also known as Chanukah or the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in the second century BCE. Each evening, an additional candle is lit on the hanukkiah, accompanied by blessings, songs, games, and family traditions. The festival celebrates perseverance, faith, hope, and the importance of light during difficult times.
