14 February

Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day

Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day raises awareness of congenital heart defects and honours people born with heart conditions, their families, carers, and healthcare teams. The day encourages education, early diagnosis, support, research, and compassionate understanding of the challenges faced by children and adults living with congenital heart disease. It is also a time to recognise resilience, care, and community support.

Event Suggestions:
• Create an awareness display about congenital heart defects, care, and support resources
• Discuss empathy, inclusion, and practical support for people with lifelong health conditions
• Organise a gentle reflection or fundraising activity supporting heart health organisations
