Ullortuneq (Greenland)

Ullortuneq is Greenland’s National Day and is observed as a public holiday. The name is linked to the longest day of the year, reflecting the importance of the summer solstice in Greenland. Established under Greenland Home Rule in 1985, the day celebrates Greenlandic culture, identity and community, and is marked with ceremonies, music, national dress, flags and local festivities.
