Bodhi Day (Buddhist)

Bodhi Day is a Buddhist observance that honours the enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama, who became the Buddha after deep meditation beneath the Bodhi tree. Many Buddhist communities mark the day through meditation, chanting, acts of kindness, study, reflection, and simple rituals that focus on wisdom, compassion, and awakening.

Event Suggestions:
• Create a quiet reflection activity inspired by meditation and mindfulness
• Explore the symbolism of the Bodhi tree in Buddhist traditions
• Discuss values such as compassion, wisdom, patience, and inner growth
