Martyrdom of Imam Ali (Iran)

The Martyrdom of Imam Ali is observed by many Shia Muslims on the 21st day of Ramadan. It commemorates the death of Ali ibn Abi Talib, cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad and the first Imam in Shia Islam. The day is marked with mourning, prayer, reflection and remembrance.
