Laylat al-Qadr, or the Night of Power, is one of the most sacred nights in Islam and is observed during the last ten days of Ramadan. Muslims believe it marks the night when the Qur’an was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Many people spend the night in prayer, Qur’an recitation, reflection and seeking forgiveness.
