Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. While it is observed in parts of Mexico, it is especially celebrated by Mexican American communities in the United States as a day connected with Mexican heritage, resilience and cultural pride.
