05 June
Constitution Day in Denmark marks the signing of the Danish Constitution on 5 June 1849, with later constitutional changes also associated with the date, including the 1953 revision. Although Denmark does not have a separate official national day, Constitution Day is widely recognised through speeches, gatherings and civic reflection on democracy, rights and public life.
Event Suggestions:
• Explore Denmark’s constitution and democratic traditions
• Create a display on Danish symbols, language and civic life
• Compare how different countries mark constitution or national days
