World Refugee Day

World Refugee Day is observed annually to honour refugees, raise awareness of their experiences and advocate for protection of their rights. The day recognises people who have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict, persecution or violence. It is also an opportunity to show solidarity, celebrate resilience and support communities seeking safety and belonging.

Event Suggestions:
• Share refugee stories through respectful, consent-based resources
• Create a welcome wall celebrating safety, belonging and resilience
• Discuss practical ways communities can support people seeking refuge
