Jura Independence Day, also known as Fête d’Indépendance, is a regional public holiday in the Republic and Canton of Jura in Switzerland. It commemorates Jura’s separation from the Canton of Bern and its establishment as an independent Swiss canton in 1979. The day celebrates local identity, autonomy and cultural heritage through community events and festivities.
