Women’s Union Establishment Day

Women’s Union Establishment Day commemorates the founding of a women’s union or national women’s organisation and recognises the role of women in public life, community leadership and social progress. The day can be used to reflect on women’s contributions to family, work, education and civic participation. It also encourages discussion about equality, representation and the continuing importance of women’s voices in society.
