Asalha, also known as Dharma Day, is a Buddhist observance marking the Buddha’s first sermon after enlightenment. The sermon, traditionally given at Sarnath, introduced key teachings including the Four Noble Truths and the Middle Way. The day is observed through meditation, chanting, temple visits, offerings and reflection on Buddhist teachings.
