The Three Weeks begins

The Three Weeks is a period of mourning in the Jewish calendar that begins on the fast day of the Seventeenth of Tammuz and leads to Tisha B’Av. It commemorates the breaching of Jerusalem’s walls and the destruction of the First and Second Temples. Observances vary, but the period is often marked by fasting, reflection, restraint and remembrance.
